The Subconscious Mind-01.jpg

IMAGINE THE BRAIN AS AN ICEBERG…

The ten percent that we can see above the water is our conscious mind, which can handle roughly seven or eight things at once. Deep down below the water is the other ninety percent - our subconscious mind. It’s hidden away in the inky waters of our inner being and we can’t see it, feel it, or access it, but it’s there, processing everything for us, every second, every day. Not only does it keep our organs functioning - heart beating, lungs breathing, leaving our conscious mind alert for more ‘important’ things, it’s also so efficient and helpful that it sorts and stores all our old thoughts and experiences, keeping the conscious mind free for more.

So more like a super computer iceberg with a very powerful memory, it’s always running in the background, keeping everything neatly stored and in turn keeping us operating safely in this amazing world. It has filed away everything we’ve ever said, every face we’ve ever seen, every food we’ve tasted, every place we’ve been - way, way more than can be remembered - and more importantly to our immediate wellbeing, everything we’ve ever felt. And if those feelings were difficult, any unprocessed negative emotions become stored within the body, hopefully never to be felt again.

Of course it’s hard work keeping all this energy buried. It creates imbalance and all manner of behavioural patterns can be developed to assist in keeping these emotions at bay. As with any imbalance, there’s always a tipping point! Those old negative emotions still carry a negative energetic vibration - see the Everything is Energy page under ‘Learn More’ - and when left to build up unchecked, end up causing all manner of problems, both physically and emotionally.

So in keeping us safe from our emotions, the subconscious mind is busy burying the problem and hoping for the best. There has never been a better time to say ‘thanks but no thanks subconscious!’ and begin an inner healing journey with The Emotion Code®.
